Glendinning Groundworks Ltd was established in Innerleithen in 1964 where it remains to this day.

Originally founded as Glendinning Bros by Graham and Walter Glendinning then later joined by Billy, Leslie and Sandy Glendinning, the Company still remains very much a family orientated business with Managing Directors Robert, Alistair and Norman Glendinning, the sons of the original brothers following in the family footsteps. With over 40 years experience we offer design, pre-construction advice, construction, commissioning and maintenance works for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, specialised civil engineering and agricultural contracting services.

Our ongoing investment in plant and specialist equipment enables us to keep abreast of ever developing technologies and expectations of our customers with the right machine for the job. A fleet of modern vehicles ensures reliability and efficiency in the field. All of our fleet maintenance and Plant testing is completed within our own workshop facilities, this enables the company to keep fleet availability as high as possible and down time to a minimum.

Having the highest quality equipment is one thing, at Glendinning Groundworks Ltd we firmly believe in ensuring all employees have specialist knowledge, experience and are trained to the highest level possible. All members of our company achieve and maintain the most appropriate Health and Safety working practices, which is a key driver in our company objectives.

Glendinning Ground Works actively to pursue the most environmentally friendly solution where possible. Protecting the environment, both flora and fauna features highly in many of our clients wishes and as a result we have developed excellent relationships with regulatory bodies and environmentally sensitive suppliers. Wherever possible we utilise low impact construction techniques, from pipeline construction to recreational pathways all areas receive the attention to detail expected by our clients.
